AudioTron
After holding onto an AudioTron that I wasn’t using for a few years I’ve finally decided to try and give it new life as: a SqueezePlay device.
My idea is simple:
1) Rip out the processing guts of the AudiotTron and start over
2) Re-Use the beautiful case, buttons, LEDs, and LCD screen
3) Install a Mini-ITX motherboard with a complete OS on it
4) Use the buttons as a form of hardware remote controls to the OS
At this time I am looking at using SqueezeSlave to interface with my Squeeze Server but if the project goes as planned technically I could install any music player I wanted and quickly and easily reuse the buttons/lcd screen.
